Touring Two Move-In Ready Homes at Providence Point

On my tour I walked two Stonehollow Homes homes that were recently returned to inventory. Both are one-story plans built for entertaining and living comfortably on large lots. I’ll break each one down so you can see what to expect if you’re shopping in Providence Point in Nevada, TX.

Home #1 — “Castleberry” (3,000+ sq ft, 3 bed, media room)

This one is a single-story plan with over 3,000 square feet on one level — big open living, a massive kitchen island, a dedicated media room, and a thoughtful master suite. It sits on roughly a one-acre lot and is set up for entertaining: long driveway, three-car garage, and a huge covered patio that looks out to a tree line.

One of my immediate takeaways was how much of a difference 8-foot doors make in a one-story home with high ceilings. This house has an 8-foot front door and 8-foot interior doors in key areas — it gives everything a grander feel without sacrificing the home’s cozy, single-floor livability.

The kitchen is a showstopper. The island is enormous — perfect for buffet-style entertaining, game-day spreads, or just congregating while dinner is being made. There’s a double oven, a butler’s pantry, and a walk-in pantry proportionate to a 3,000 sq ft home (huge pet peeve of mine: tiny pantries in big houses — not here).

Also worth noting: Providence Point is a septic community and uses propane for gas if you choose it. The model I toured had an electric cooktop, but if you want gas you’d add a propane tank. No well water here — septic is in place.

The media room is another highlight — a room designed for watching sports, movies, or hosting watch parties without feeling like you’re in the middle of the kitchen chaos. With three oversized bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), you get privacy and guest-ready spaces. The builder also smartly included showers in secondary bathrooms — a practical choice for family homes.

But the real seller for many buyers is the back patio and lot. This Castleberry plan was recently redesigned to extend the back covered patio, dramatically increasing outdoor living space and visual connection to the tree line behind the home. This patio is big enough for multiple seating areas, an outdoor kitchen, and play space — or to leave open and build a separate structure like a shop or guest house.

The master suite benefited from the patio addition as well: the bedroom grew in size, and the closet location was shifted from opening to the study to opening into the bedroom wing — a modification buyers appreciated. The primary bath includes dual vanities, a freestanding tub, a very large linen closet, and a frameless double shower — all things buyers expect at this price point.

Pricing for this Castleberry inventory home was listed in the high $600k to $700k range — specifically listed at about $704k siting on the one-acre lot. Given current builder incentives and inventory discounts, this represents a solid opportunity to own a move-in ready acreage home without the wait of a build.

Home #2 — “Victoria” (≈2,800 sq ft, 4 bed, 3 bath, almost 2 acres)

The second house I toured — the Victoria — sits on almost two acres with nobody directly behind it. This one is roughly 2,800 square feet on one level, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The lot depth gives you space, privacy, and plenty of options for future build-outs or recreational uses.

One immediate visual: this house has an 8-foot front door and a black window package. I’m a fan of black windows — they make the exterior feel crisp and modern. Builders often charge extra for black windows (don’t ask me why — they cost more at the window company, apparently), but the look is worth it if you’re into a modern aesthetic.

The open floor plan is bright and airy, and the big slider option really opens the house to the backyard visually and physically. I don’t sugarcoat it: the slider is an expensive option, but when it’s open you get that seamless indoor-outdoor living that’s hard to replicate with standard doors.

Kitchen-wise, this house delivers another giant island, white cabinets, and a playful deep green backsplash — what I jokingly call “millennial green.” It’s a small design choice that injects personality without overwhelming the space. If you like a subtle pop, the backsplash is a perfect place to do it.

This plan includes a couple of smart layout decisions: two pantries (yes — two), a mosaic-tiled laundry area, and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom connecting bedrooms two and three. Some people love Jack-and-Jill setups for space efficiency and shared kids’ bathrooms; others don’t. Personally, if you’ve got a guest bath elsewhere, a Jack-and-Jill can be a great way to maximize bedroom square footage.

The primary suite is roomy and has a private door out to the back patio — an incredibly nice touch. Imagine stepping out in the morning to a near-two-acre view. I’m jealous — five-car garages are rare and great for hobbyists or collectors. For most buyers, the three-car garages shown are ample, and the long concrete driveways give you space to park guests comfortably.
